PIMA MONTHLY MEETING BOOK OF SERVICES
What God requires of us is this: Do what is just, show constant love, and live in humble fellowship with our Lord. Micah 6:8
This book of services describes what needs to be done in order for Pima Monthly Meeting to function well. Not everything can be included here, of course, but the main services are described. All jobs are normally done by volunteers, with exceptions noted. Committees carry on the primary work of the meeting. Each committee is convened by a clerk, or two co-clerks, who report to the monthly meeting for business. Members of Ministry and Oversight committee, along with the Clerk(s) of Business Meeting, oversee the work of committees as necessary. Other people serve as occasional volunteers for the many special tasks, but not as part of a committee.
Pima Meeting is always evolving and changing, and thus the services keep changing as well; it is not possible to prescribe or dictate what everyone should do or how they should do it. This book of services, therefore, is an enhanced guide to practice which includes basic information as well as numerous small details some of which will change as the meeting changes. As a description of what clerks, committees, and representatives have done to carry on the business of the meeting, it is our “memory” to guide what we are doing now.
Query: do I serve in the spirit of love?
